Note: This article describes is about the administrative iotspot Setup app. For the end-user app, see Logging in to the iotspot app
The iostpot Setup App is used to configure iotspot stickers, hub devices and sensors. The app is separate from the User App and is available for Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App store).
To use the Setup app, you will need to be either Organization manager or Location manager with Setup app permissions.
Using the Setup app requires a Manager account for your location. Your Organization manager can create a Manager account for you. When a manager account is created, you will receive your login credentials in your email.
Note: the temporary password expires in 24 hours. You can use the “Forgot password” feature to reset your password or your Organization manager can send you a new temporary password.
The iotspot setup application is available on Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App store).
We recommend installing the user app (iotspot app) before you begin the configuration process, as that can help you check if the configuration is going smoothly.
Logging into the setup app
As soon as you launch the iotspot setup app, you will be greeted with a welcome screen. Tap the “Get started” button to begin the login process.
On the login screen, enter your corporate email address and the temporary password that you received in your email.
Note: Both fields are cAse sEnSiTive! Make sure you are entering your email in lowercase (no CAPITAL letters) and your password exactly as you received it.
Resetting setup account password
To reset the password of your manager account, navigate to the iotspot setup app login screen and tap on the “Forgot password” button. A new password will be sent to your email address.
You can also request your Organization Manager to reset the password for you, but this is only possible if you have not yet logged into your account.
Resetting setup account MFA
If you lost access to your MFA, you will need to request your Organization Manager to reset it for you via the Control Center.
