Analytics have always been a strength of iotspot, but sometimes you don't need to dig through detailed reports. Sometimes you just want to see the bigger picture. That's exactly why we built the iotspot Cockpit — a new layer in your analytics world designed for the high-level view that tells you what actually matters.
The Cockpit gives you an overview of desk occupancy, room usage, parking availability, and overall building capacity, all in one clean dashboard filtered to the period and locations you care about.
What's inside the Cockpit?
The main Cockpit page shows four summary cards — Desk Occupancy, Room Occupancy, Parking Space Occupancy, and Location Capacity. Each card combines two data sources: reservation data showing what was booked, and sensor data showing what was actually used. This lets you instantly spot the difference between planned and real occupancy. Each card also shows how you're trending compared to the previous period, and a Top Locations list highlights which offices are busiest.
At the top of every page you'll find two filters. The Location filter lets you view all your offices at once or narrow down to a specific region or single location. The Period filter lets you set the timeframe — last week, last month, or a custom range.
Desk Analytics
The Desk Analytics tab gives you a detailed breakdown of how your desks are used across all locations. Office days are grouped into three categories — Crowded, Balanced, and Underutilized — each showing the percentage and total number of days, plus the top locations per category.
You can switch between Occupancy Data, Reservation Data, or Both to compare what was booked against what was actually used.
Under Advanced Filters, you can narrow results to specific weekdays, exclude blocked workplaces, and define your own thresholds for what counts as Crowded, Balanced, or Underutilized. If you're not sure where to start, choose from a pre-set profile: iotspot Best Practice, Space-Efficient, or Comfort-Oriented.
Room Analytics
Room Analytics follows the same structure, with one important difference: rooms are measured in office hours rather than days, since meeting rooms are booked by the hour. An additional filter lets you break results down by room size — All, Small, Medium, or Large — making it easy to spot patterns like large rooms sitting empty while small ones are always fully booked.
Parking Space Analytics
Parking Space Analytics uses the same Crowded, Balanced, and Underutilized structure, measured in office days. Because parking spots are typically managed through bookings rather than sensors, this page is based on reservation data only.
